Image of the .local folder and a sub-folder contents

SUMMARY
Opening Dolphin and navigating to the /home/user/.local folder there are only two items listed within. Navigating to sub-folders through other means, all sub-folders are present, but goin into the .local folder itself they do not appear.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Tuxedo OS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

I'm uncertain when this behavior began. I only just noticed today when trying to make a backup of a folder I knew was within the .local folder.

Attempting to use the "recent locations" button on the places tab yields the message, "The process for the recentlyused protocol died unexpectedly."

Hi - if I'm interpreting the provided screenshots correctly (thanks for attaching those, by the way!), you're seeing two folders that are subfolders of ~/.local, and then many more folders that are subfolders of ~/.local/share, is that correct?

That would be by design - at each level of the folder hierarchy, you would see the files and folders that exist at that specific level.

Can you please provide the result you were expecting to see in the ~/.local folder, to make sure I'm understanding your issue correctly?

Thanks,
