Description rydercutler 2024-12-27 08:15:00 UTC
SUMMARY
Upon plugging in a new audio output (i.e. headphones), the audio volume widget shows both outputs as selected even though only one is really selected. This has the side effect of being unable to properly switch to a different output via the widget as it thinks it's already selected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug in a new audio output
2. Open up volume control widget

OBSERVED RESULT
The volume control widget shows both outputs as being selected, making it impossible to switch to the other output.

EXPECTED RESULT
The volume control widget only shows the current output as the selected one.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Solus 4.6
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

I have occasionally seen this myself, but never managed to find steps to reproduce it unfortunately.

Please run the following command, let it settle for a couple seconds, then reproduce the issue and attach the output it generates while doing so

QT_LOGGING_RULES="org.kde.pulseaudio*=true" plasmawindowed org.kde.plasma.volume
