SUMMARY
Closing Spectacle closes the window immediately instead of showing the 'Scale' Desktop Effect. I assume this happens because Spectacle also doesn't have an opening animation for IIRC technical reasons.

Unfortunately, Spectacle has to be blacklisted from KWin's close animations for Spectacle to avoid including itself in screenshots with short capture delays.
