SUMMARY At some point, using the shortcut configured for Overview / Grid starts doing absolutely nothing until the next reboot. The same happens for the corner trigger, at the same time. Nothing is logged in `journalctl --user -f` when that happens. Is there any way I can get detailed logs of what KDE tries to do when I press these shortcuts, to be able to give more information? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Wait for long enough for the issue to reproduce, it seems to be random but reproduces after a few hours of uptime and maybe some suspend/resume cycles on my machine 2. Press the Overview or Grid shortcut, or take the cursor to its assigned corner trigger OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens EXPECTED RESULT Overview / Grid effect is triggered SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: NixOS 25.05 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0 Qt Version: 6.8.0 Kernel Version: 6.6.64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.6 Gio of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics
So basically you can't trigger the Overview effect at all? Does it reproduce in a new clean user account?
Exactly! Do you know if there is any command I can use to try triggering it with logs available, and while being sure it's not a configuration issue? Also, the Overview effrts does work after a reboot, but after some time of running plasma it starts being impossible to trigger. Putting the computer to sleep does not help here, contrarily to my other problem with the mouse no longer being able to click (in another open bug here), so I'd guess the two are not related. Finally, I started using KDE around 4 days ago, so just 2 days before the issue annoyed me enough to submit this issue. I'm also pretty sure the issue had started happening basically since I installed. Do you have any specific suspect configuration in mind, that I could try toggling?

I have same issue shortcuts and hot corners does nothing. It works on the fresh start, and stops maybe after hibernation. I am using kvm win10 and Android emu. Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250108 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.9.0 Qt Version: 6.8.1 Kernel Version: 6.11.8-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 5600U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 38.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 20X70042CK System Version: ThinkPad L15 Gen 2a
Same issue here, can't get grid to show up at all.
Never mind, I somehow had disabled the desktop overview effect entirely ..
