Description Szczepan Hołyszewski 2024-12-19 07:22:21 UTC
SUMMARY

Recently the icon view is intruding on me in Dolphin. I am a sworn compact view user and I have always had it as the default for new folders, for never-previously-visited folders, etc. Recently new folders open in the icon view mode, and nothing I try can make my preference for compact view stick.

Not a config diskspace issue.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. View -> Adjust View Display Style... -> choose Compact, check "Use as default view settings", Apply or OK
2. Create new folder
3. Enter new folder

OBSERVED RESULT

Dolphin switches to icon view.

EXPECTED RESULT

Dolphin should use compact view, configured as the default.
