Description restuccia 2024-12-17 20:28:19 UTC
SUMMARY
Spell check dictionaries that are installed system-wide, and hence available in the KDE Plasma settings, are not visible in Ghostwriter. As a result, Ghostwriter can only check spelling in the default language, which is English.

The spell check dictionaries I installed on my system are `hunspell-fr` and `hunspell-it`. Ghostwriter has been installed from Flatpak.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Ghostwriter via Flatpak
2. Install extra spell check dictionaries at system level
3. Open Ghostwriter preferences

OBSERVED RESULT
Only various versions of English are available as preferred languages to choose from

EXPECTED RESULT
System wide spell check languages should be available as preferred languages to choose from

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Kinoite 41
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1
Graphics Platform: Wayland

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am running Fedora Kinoite, which is an atomic variant of Fedora. The hunspell packages have been installed via rpm-ostree, but there shouldn't be much of a difference with dnf in this case.
