SUMMARY When I try to mount my phone's storage via MTP, dolphin fails to do so. Since kiod automatically grabs all MTP devices and plasma-workspace depends on kio-extras, I'm deadlocked out of accessing my phone via MTP using any and all means. This problem has persisted for me for over a year now, and there was never a time when it did work for me. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Attach phone via USB-C. 2. Unlock phone and grant file access. 3. Open "Disks & Devices" via the Task Manager. 4. Click "Open in File Manager," and witness Dolphin launch. 5. Open the "Internal Storage" folder, and witness Dolphin throw an error saying "Could not enter folder /Internal storage." OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin errors out with "Could not enter folder /Internal storage." EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin opens the desired folder on my phone via MTP. Same here. Two distinct versions of TW, but from latest KDE upgrade (KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4, KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0, Qt Version: 6.8.0) I am unable to access my Android device (Samsung too, S20). Dolphin or any other kio-based application HANGS when trying to see "Camera" folder. It worked fine before some update of KDE. "Caja" file manager works w/o issues, as always happens when KDE has issues with some file browsing after a upgrade.
