Description kderocks38 2024-12-15 16:03:05 UTC
Hi,

I don't want this want to sound too far fetched but French, German, and maybe other languages using accents are concerned :

Example : searching the "power management menu" is done with the keyword "énergie" but plenty of time french speaking person will just write "energie" or "énérgie" and will give up using that keyword to find the option menu and think it must be under another keyword.
Now there a plenty of menus involving accents : écran(screen), démarrage automatique(automated start up), éditeur(editor).

Maybe others have opinion on this to share? But I don't know any ajax pre-indexed online search fields who cares if you use accent or not. Many people don't use accent if they are not writing to anyone who reads them.

I realise that this situation actually happens also inside any KDE menus, not just the launcher.
