Description SolidCapo 2024-12-10 01:37:10 UTC
SUMMARY
I’ve a Wacom Intuos 5 Touch - PTH650 and had no troubles in X11, but in wayland there are several:

1. Doesn’t work with auto hide panels from plasma or menus when software is full screen and they hide.
2. Can’t resize windows with super and right click from pen
3. Can’t move windows with super and left click from pen
4. Can’t move files on dolphin with click and drag or to any software, basically, dragging is not possible with the pen
5. Can’t move browser tabs with click and drag either with pen
6. When switching between pen, touchpad or mouse, the cursor changes to the last position of that device instead or starting where it was (hope i made myself clear with this issue )
7. Screen border and corner hotspots in plasma won't work either with pen
8. The tablet settings i asume the 5th button is the one of the ring click, but there’s no config for the ring touchpad
9. The mouse wont get big when I move fast the pen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Initialize Garuda Linux with KDE Plasma and Wayland
2. Try to do the things i wrote with my wacom

OBSERVED RESULT
Won't work either of those points

EXPECTED RESULT
The same as with the mouse

This is the wrong product, some of these need to be filed against plasmashell, kwin and systemsettings (kcm_tablet). And ideally separate issues, no one can fix a bug that has nine other ones in it :-)

Yep. One bug report per issue please. Thanks a lot!

Ok, sorry Joshua and Nate, thought they were all about wacom tablet :P but not a programer, so, can you tell me which ones are to which? so i can make the report individually? thanks
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2024-12-11 00:12:59 UTC
They are all about your drawing tablet, but they're each separate issues. Each issue needs its own bug reports so it can be tracked individually.
Comment 5 Joshua Goins 2024-12-11 12:18:06 UTC
here are my suggestions:

1. plasmashell?
2. kwin, some component
3. kwin, some component
4. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488317#c3
5. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488317#c3
6. this is not a bug, or this could possibly be a wishlist item under kwin, input
7. kwin, hot corners & edges
8. systemsettings, kcm_tablet wishlist item
9. kwin, effects-various

I don't triage the kwin/plasmashell so these are just my best guesses for component selection :-)
