Description dprpasdfm 2024-12-08 05:23:33 UTC
Whether it's a Desktop PC or a laptop, if user attempts to switch users through KDE' Application Launcher, SDDM freezes.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
      sudo useradd xxx
      sudo userdel xxx
      systemsettings - Add user xxx
      sudo userdel xxx
      sudo useradd xxx
      systemsettings - Delete user xxx
From with KDE's Application Launcher, click on "Leave", then click on "Switch User", and log in to the current user again.
OBSERVED RESULT:
The mouse can still move, but the login interface no longer responds. Tty1 to tty6 can still work.
EXPECTED RESULT:
      Enter the desktop.

Thank you for your bug report!

Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), as this version of the KDE software is out of support from KDE, and so it's possible that the bug exists only in Debian at this point.

Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream back to us.

Thanks for understanding!
