SUMMARY I have "Audible Bell" set to "Enable" in "System Bell" of the accessibilty KCM. If the current Konsole profile's "Terminal bell mode" is set to "System Bell", so to supposedly respect the global option in the accessibility KCM, Konsole doens't play any sound when I run "tput bel". To the contrary, xterm respects the accessibilty option and an audible bell is played. As a workardound I have to set "Terminal bell mode" to "System Notifications" in the current Konsole profile and select an appropriate sound for the bell notification. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Check to have "Audible Bell" set to "Enable" in "System Bell" of the accessibilty kcm. 2. launch Konsole and set "Terminal bell mode" to "System Bell" in the current Konsole profile. 3. write "tput bel" on the prompt OBSERVED RESULT No audible bell is being played. EXPECTED RESULT An audible bell shoud be playing SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8 Qt Version: 6.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm running on Wayland, maybe this is a limitation of Wayland?
