Description brekco1 2024-12-05 23:41:54 UTC
SUMMARY
Audio hum during and after (for about 15 seconds) any audio playback.

I've been experiencing this issue for about 3 weeks. I wasn't sure if this was a KDE issue until I started noticing it while using KDE apps and not playing any audio or video. For example when using Krusader, if I right click on a file and press [delete], I get audio hum for 15 seconds.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Play audio from any source including video playback.
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
I can hear audio hum during the quiet parts of the audio playback as well as for a short time after I pause audio/video (for about 15 seconds).

EXPECTED RESULT
No hum.

This is going to to be either a hardware issue, or a weird and subtle software issue deep in PulseAudio, PipeWire, or Qt. Unfortunately we are not equipped to help you debug it here. I'd recommend asking for help about it on the Arch wiki. Good luck!
