SUMMARY
Rating stored into image files from external tools is not shown in digikam any longer.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a rating, e.g. via `exiftool -Rating=4 $FILE ` 
2. Start digikam
3. Observe that rating is not shown (it is shown for previously scanned folders)

EXPECTED RESULT
Just show the rating given.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.8.0-104036-tuxedo
KDE Plasma Version: libkf5plasma5:amd64 5.115.0-5
KDE Frameworks Version: I don't use kde. I find this e.g. this package though: kded6 6.6.0
Qt Version: No idea, I don't think this is relevant

This is a known bug in digiKam-8.4.0 (Bug 490611). When scanning a new item for the first time, the rating and date values ​​are not written correctly to the DB. Re-read the metadata of the items in question. The bug is fixed in digiKam-8.5.0.
