Description goo 2024-12-05 14:01:05 UTC
SUMMARY
Plasma doesn't remember the last volume % set for Firefox browser and always resets it to 100% whenever a new audio stream is being played in the browser. This is very annoying because I'm forced to set system volume to 5%-10% to avoid unattended volume spikes.
This doensn't happen for Chromium browser i.e., as in this case the app's audio volume is always remembered for whichever audio stream will be played.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Play an audio stream in the Firefox browser
2. set volume to a new value, say 20%
3. play another audio stream in Firefox browser

OBSERVED RESULT
Firefox application volume will get resets to 100%

EXPECTED RESULT
Firefox application volume should be set to 20% while playing the new audio stream.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 41
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8
Qt Version: 6.8
