We need the file to reproduce the problem or this is unfixable

Can you try a non dark theme?

How do I disable the dark theme? My problem was that whenever I type something on a form fillable sheet that it disappears/becomes invisible once I click somewhere else.

You can change your color theme in systemsettings->Colors

Wait, are you talking about Okular's settings in Setting->Configure Okular->Accessibility->Colour Mode
Or like the settings of Manjaro?
Comment 7 Toriel 2024-12-06 00:29:28 UTC
Forgot to mention, I am on manjaro gnome, not sure if that makes a difference though I guess the settings are in a different location

Just tried the Krita bright theme. And also typed "psychokinesis" in the talents box of the fillable forms, but once I clicked somewhere else such as species ability it became invisible until I clicked back to the talent fillable form box and moved the typing line thing to the end of the word

I am saying the desktop theme yes, so that those text boxes are not dark but light
Comment 10 Albert Astals Cid 2024-12-06 09:34:52 UTC
Would also be easier if you can attach a video (or link to one) so we can see more clearly what is happening.

That's not a light color theme, everything is dark in that UI :D This is a light color theme. https://i.imgur.com/U6zNF9U.png

Switched the colour scheme multiple times

I switched the colour scheme multiple times but it wont switch everything to the light theme fully. Why am I trying to switch to the light theme? Is there any reason?

> Is there any reason?

Because since it works for me I am trying to help you figure out what the problem is.

Does the problem also happen if you run okular from the terminal like this?

okular --style windows
or
okular --style breeze

(for the second you may need to install some package named breeze or similar in your distribution)

It seems to put itself on the window style when doing it from the command line thing

Ok, I did it from the command line thing and it seems to put it on different modes
Comment 17 Toriel 2024-12-09 16:31:19 UTC
After installing the breeze package it seems to fully switch between light and dark themes

File showing the problem hasn't been resolved

It didn't resolve the problem of text becoming invisible though
Comment 19 Albert Astals Cid 2024-12-09 22:06:24 UTC
Can you confirm the okular version you are running?

Your bug report says 24.08.3 but then you say you're using Qt 5.15.16 which is "impossible".

I want to know which of the two data points is wrong

Okular -> Help -> About Okular -> Components

That's the screenshot that matters.

Here's the components version

Okay, so its kde frameworks version 6.8.0 and Qt version 6.8.1
Comment 24 Toriel 2024-12-13 13:52:44 UTC
So, what do I need to do to fix the problem?
Comment 25 Albert Astals Cid 2024-12-18 22:26:38 UTC
I do not know, I can not reproduce it so to me it seems a "your setup" problem.

I would try asking in Manjaro/Manjaro Gnome forums.
