Description pollux 2024-12-04 09:46:33 UTC
SUMMARY
I have been experience this little bug where xwayland windows like to steal the focus of a window above like if i have firefox opened and a xwayland game is underneath that window, it will steal the focus when im clicking around on that firefox window that is maximized, this happens in other xwayland applications also like steam for example likes to steal focus when i have something above it

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run a xwayland application like steam or a xwayland game
2. Have a window above that is wayland not xwayland
3. Click around that wayland window like firefox for example until the xwayland game takes focus when its underneath that wayland window

OBSERVED RESULT
Dirt rally 2.0 is the first example of a xwayland window taking focus when im clicking around in firefox

EXPECTED RESULT
The xwayland window is supposed to not take focus when im running a wayland window above that xwayland window

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This started happening after plasma 6.1 i think or 6.2 when tearing was added on wayland, unsure

Hi - I'm not able to reproduce this on my system below, using Steam and Firefox as examples as well. Could you please also add your system's graphics information (card, drivers, etc.)? A screen recording of the issue occurring would be ideal as well, if possible.

Thanks,
