SUMMARY There is a dark rectangle that is about 40% of the panel's height that spans about 90% of the panel's width. This rectangle is disappears when a window is maximized, and is persistent when no windows are maximized. It is present in both 'Breeze' and 'Breeze Dark' (see screenshots). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Boot up latest Plasma release. 2. Observe panel in its default state, and notice the artifact mentioned. 3. Launch a window, maximize it, and notice the artifact is no longer present. OBSERVED RESULT An unintentional artifact is present on the panel. EXPECTED RESULT The artifact should not be there. The rectangular artifact as disappears when a window is touching the panel. Without looking at the code, I would guess that it has something to do with translucency.
I suspect a GPU driver glitch here. Never been able to reproduce it myself with an Intel HD620 iGPU or Radeon 780M iGPU.

It very well could be a GPU driver; however, I played around with some different display configurations and it seems as though the issue is only present with display scaling set at 150%. Is the issue reproducible with display scaling set at 150%?
I use an AMD GPU now, but no, I can't experience the issue with any scale factor.
