After posting this matter to the forum it was suggested that I elevate it to a bug report

SUMMARY
Multicam cuts do not contain crossfade.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make cuts with Multicam tool.
2. 
3. 


EXPECTED RESULT
Ideally, a user adjustable crossfade should be available as a Multicam option.
