SUMMARY

In Kubuntu 24.04 devices in the volume applet had recognizable names, like "Microphone (Webcam C210 Mono)" and "Line Out (Starship/Matisse Audio Controller Analog Stereo)".
Now in 24.10 I see "ALC-887VD Analog" and "USB Device 0x46d 0x819"

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on Plasma Volume Applet
2. Observe strange names
3. Wonder which one to adjust

Best talk to kubuntu. Plasma 6.1 is out of support from KDE.
