Created attachment 176173 [details] Screenshot of Digikam > Settings > Batch Queue Manager: no tool / plugin to convert in DNG With Digikam I can no longer convert RAW files to DNG files (since recently). I am currently using Digikam V. 8.5 under Linux Mint. In previous versions, I put the RAW images in the Batch Queue Manager and then called up the “Convert To DNG” tool under “Control Panel > Convert”. Since my Digikam installation has been updated to version 8.5, some new formats (such as AVIF) are offered, but no longer “DNG”. A click on “Settings > Configure Digikam”, there the tab “Batch Queue Manager”: many convert tools are installed as plugins, but not “Convert To DNG”. I am attaching two screenshots. Has support for the DNG format been discontinued? Or what can I do to continue saving RAW images as DNG? Translated with DeepL.com (free version) SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. This is not a digiKam bug. The DNG Writer now requires libjxl. Your distribution package did not take this dependency into account. Use the full digikam AppImage from us. Maik
8.5.0. of course support DNG format : https://i.imgur.com/eCEQiqZ.png DNG SDK from Adobe have been updated to last version internally and it's now depends of libjpegxl. If this dependency is not resolved at compilation time, DNG support is disabled. So, it's a packaging problem from your distro, report this as DOWNSTREAM bug to your distro team. Gilles Caulier
