Description Simon Brown 2024-11-26 14:34:45 UTC
Application: kmail (6.2.3 (24.08.3))

ApplicationNotResponding [ANR]: false
Qt Version: 6.8.0
Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Operating System: Linux 6.8.0-49-generic x86_64
Windowing System: Wayland
Distribution: KDE neon 6.2
DrKonqi: 6.2.3 [CoredumpBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
I have Kmail connected to an IMAP account.

I have a text only message open in the preview pane. If I right click in the folder structure and select "Serverside Subscription" the message preview pane gets corrupted.

It might go black, start flashing old content, show multiple copies of a window that has been slid across it.

Selecting a new message does not recover the preview pane.

When I close Kmail it crashes.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Comment 2 Laurent Montel 2024-12-27 07:37:07 UTC
it seems it fixed 2 days ago in 24.12
Comment 3 Simon Brown 2025-01-07 13:06:57 UTC
With 24.12.0 on KDE Neon the bug is still present for me.
Comment 4 Simon Brown 2025-01-07 13:08:45 UTC
Sorry, I no longer get the crash, but the message pain remains unuseable and I have to re-start kmail. The only improvement is no more DrKonqi.
