new panel left, old panel right, both 50mm but with clearly different spacing

SUMMARY
A newly created Plasma panel does not seem to have the same internal spacing between widgets as that of an older panel. There is more blank space between widget icons, and the clock widget reaches out closer to the edge of the panel, and shows a larger font due to its larger effective size.

Encountered on two computers, both running EndeavourOS/Arch x86_64.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Be in the past
2. Create a Plasma panel
3. Upgrade Plasma to modern version
4. Manually create an exact replica of the older panel (adding widgets by hand)

OBSERVED RESULT
5. The spacing between widgets in the new panel is larger and the panel more quickly runs out of space. The clock widget is easier to read

EXPECTED RESULT
5. Old panels and new panels have identical internal spacing

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS/Arch x86_64 (Wayland)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm attaching a screenshot of a new panel and an old panel next to each other. They both have a width of 50 mm. Note that the battery, brightness, network, audio and bluetooth icons were added as individual widgets and are not part of the system tray. (The arrow marks the beginning of the tray, and the bell icon the end of it.)

It's very likely I'm just missing a Widget Spacing setting somewhere, in which case I apologise. Please close the report if so.

Yup, the default settings of panels changed over the years. All of these changes were intentional
