Shows out of sync messages

SUMMARY

Some new messages that have arrived to the server and show in the chat list preview don't show in the main chat window.
I separately confirmed with FluffyChat that the messages are real and also the latest messages but are invisible in NeoChat.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on chat previews on the chat list
2. Click on the chat
3. Wait until the chat preview and main chat window have out of sync messages (i.e. the latest message in the chat preview != the latest message in the main chat window)

OBSERVED RESULT
The latest messages from a chat aren't always visible despite showing in the chat preview.

EXPECTED RESULT
The latest message should be visible in the main chat window

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Switching to/from the chat message doesn't appear to fix this particular issue. I confirmed that the latest message on chat preview was correct via a separate matrix client. The main chat window is the one that is incorrect.

This appears to be related to the Threads feature flag that I forgot that I had on while testing a while ago. Turning it off fixed the roll-up of the thread. As such, this wasn't a bug as much as it was user error though it wasn't clear that the messages were a part of a thread when initially looking.
