SUMMARY Restarting plasma-shell, will cause an auto hide panel to come with tiny icons, until an application is started or close, then it will revert to normal. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have auto-hide panel 2. Restart plasma-shell with "systemctl --user restart plasma-plasmashell.service" 3. Hover down to the panel OBSERVED RESULT The icon-only task manager will show the applications as tiny icons. Yes, it is set with fit-content. https://imgur.com/a/YzS7HTk Just test it with my other machine which runs with AMD, and I didn't see this behavior.
