SUMMARY
I updated from 8.4.0 to 8.5.0 running "digiKam-8.5.0-Qt5-Win64.exe".
It looks like the de-install and the install went fine,
but starting digiKam up now only leads to a blank white screen.
The window title shows the digiKam icon and has the title "digiKam", but then there are only the windows controls (minimize, window mode, close)
I can see that there are some components on this empty screen, because the mouse pointer indicates that there are some controls, but the only thing I can (or want to) do is closing the app.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update from 8.4.0 to 8.5.0 running "digiKam-8.5.0-Qt5-Win64.exe".
2. Start up digiKam

The problem is related to the OpenGL support of your graphics card.
The problem is also known with the Qt5 version of digiKam, download the version with Qt6 in the name.
