Description Thomas Nield 2024-11-15 12:55:27 UTC
SUMMARY

I created a simple video with a Picture in Picture effect, with an MP4 as the primary video and an MOV with webcam footage. For the webcam footage I used a crop effect then transform to resize and put in bottom right corner. But when I export, I only see the primary video and the audio from the webcam footage. The webcam video is missing.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make an MP4 the primary video
2. Make an MOV the second video
3. Crop and transform, the MOV
4. Export

OBSERVED RESULT

See no secondary video is in exported video

EXPECTED RESULT
All video tracks should be rendered as shown in the preview panel

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: Sequoia 15.0.1
KDenLive: 24.08.3

Please let us know more specifics about how you set it up on the timeline.

For me the following setup works:
1. Primary video (P) on V1
2. Secondary video (S) on V2 (will be the PIP in the bottom right-hand corner)
3. Crop, Scale and Tilt effect on S with some crop values
4. Transform effect on S with Size @ ~ 34%, and X and Y to move it to the bottom right-hand corner

Would it help if I provide a link to the project file and the two video assets?

Absolutely. Seems your setup is different, then.

So interesting... I ran this render job on my Alienware running Linux Mint and it all works. I don't know what's going on with KDenLive on my MacBook Air M2.
