Description Junakreiter 2024-11-13 06:43:26 UTC
Window configuration in size and position had been hard to set in wayland ever since.
After latest update all my manually made settings are gone.
The settings window itself "special settings for this application" refuses to appear sometimes.

Linux/KDE Plasma: arch
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.8.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0

While trying to set up new window settings windows freeze and crash.
Not shure which update caused this. But the problem appears after yesterdays (12.11.) update.

As in they no longer appear in the UI?
Please attach your ~/.config/kwinrulesrc and have a look to see if the configuration file matches what you would remember adding in the past.

If there's a crash we need a backtrace to do anything actionable

They appear in the UI but the window does not follow the rule.
But at some point it also happens that settings are deleted.
This behaviour was strange ever since i changed to wayland.

Dont want to steal your time. This problem is solved by a restart or any other try, i dont know.
