Folder icons do not all update when changing accent color

SUMMARY
Folder icons do not update when changing accent color. Instead, some instantly update, some take several seconds, and others never change

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a directory in dolphin which has folder in it
2. Go to the theme settings and change the accent color

OBSERVED RESULT
Folder icons do not (or only sometimes) update when changing accent color

EXPECTED RESULT
All folder icons should change (with a nice transition) to the new color

Clarifying that, the folder icons do. A thumbnail of a folder with image contents which then gets cached does not.
