When one logs in KDE an exclamation mark is added to wifi icon for missing connectivity. There is no place where connectiviry check can be disabled or URL for the checks provided Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 12 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.1.0-26-amd64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: offscreen Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4600
Why would this be desirable? Can you articulate a use case for what you're requesting?
Debian leaves uri equal to nothing, this leads to Exclamation mark on wifi icon. There is no place in NetworkManager gui in kde to set connectivity check uri.
Well that seems like a Debian packaging bug to me! Please report it to them. We want bugs fixed rather than settings added to allow expert users to work around those bugs. Users expert enough to find and use such settings should instead help participate in the process of getting the bugs fixed for everyone!
Oo accept my apologies, I thought that kde gui is trying to have gui interface that can manage the underlying system in this case NetworkManager. Now I wonder why kde have IP configuration at all in the GUI?! Probably it is a bug with debian. Thank you for the kind answer. Feel free to close this stupid report. My bad. Thanks
No problem! Just make sure to tell the Debian folks about it. They can't fix it if they don't know about it. :)
