SUMMARY When Fedora 41 has KDE login manager enabled and Gnome login manager disabled, when the screen gets locked (Cmd+L) or locks after 5min automatically, then login attempt fails with no reaction or after success one more login screen gets present where login attempt fails with no reaction. Pressing Esc key deactivates login screen. Pressing some key brings it back. Then login sometimes succeeds, but often not. You have to repeat Esc + any key + login several times until you are back in. I also noticed that this screen lock -> logging back in sometimes forces Gimp to crash. I installed Fedora 41 Workstation with default Gnome. Then did that massive installation of whole KDE. Then disabled Gnome login manager and enabled KDE login manager.
