SUMMARY
Icons move to upper left corner after failed login attempt from lockscreen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. lock plasma
2.  enter incorrect password

OBSERVED RESULT
icons such as the profile picture and the icon on the sleep button move to the upper left corner

EXPECTED RESULT
nothing

I'm sorry I thought I had attached the photo already. I don't have a video as of now but I'll try to record it next time it happens. It only happens every few days and i don't know what exactly prompts it.

My colleagues say this is likely https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-123799. Still, if it is, we should figure out why failing to unlock triggers software rendering (and hence the bug) for you.

To confirm, everything is fine until you fail to unlock, and then it happens, right?

It hasn't happened for a few days now but if it does it's usually after my laptop has been asleep for a bit. And then it only happens once I enter the wrong password. But if I hit escape and then open the password prompt again the icons are back to where they are supposed to be.
