SUMMARY In the past kdesrc was available as kdesrc-build-git package in the Arch AUR. The documentation still referrers to kdesrc-build-git being available in AUR [1]. As far as I can filing this the package is replaced by kde-builder package? OBSERVED RESULT kdesrc-build-git isn't available in the AUR anymore. EXPECTED RESULT Some form of kdesrc-build should be available on Arch (i.e. in the AUR). If kdesrc is gone completely from the AUR update the documentation on invent. [1] If it is replaced by kde-builder in a semi-official way like kdesrc-build-git was also update the documentation. PS: Maybe next time offer a transition period with a "replace" label in the AUR PKGBUILD for a while. [1] https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kdesrc-build/-/blob/master/README.md
The only part of this bug report that applies to KDE is the out of date reference to the AUR package in the README.md for kdesrc-build. The choice of what goes into and comes out of the AUR, and when, is up to Arch Linux policy (i.e. downstream).
Yes, the AUR package kdesrc-build is removed now. I replaced kdesrc-build with kde-builder. On Arch Linux you can use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kde-builder-git, or just install it as described in the documentation.
