Qt Version: 5.15.13
Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Operating System: Linux 6.8.0-48-generic x86_64
Windowing System: X11
Distribution: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend]

-- Information about the crash:
In a previous session I have transferred a file from my mobile to my PC using KDE Connect. When I started up my PC today and opened Dolphin, my Device was listed in the left side window pane, so I clicked on it to see of it will show my mobile's data. That is when Dolphin gave me an error message and crashed when I closed it.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal: Segmentation fault

Hi, has this happened again any time lately?

> Hi, has this happened again any time lately?

Yes, still happening. Cannot mount device to see mobile's content from the PC.

However, when I use the "Send files" using KDE Connect on my phone to send a file to my PC, it works.

Is this still happening with Dolphin 25.04.3 or later ? If so, please get a new backtrace and set this report back to REPORTED. Thanks!
Comment 5 groenewald.marius 2025-07-29 09:58:19 UTC
Yes, still happening, but I have Dolphin 23.08.5 on Kubuntu 24.04.
Kubuntu does not inform me of Distribution Upgrades like Ubuntu, so I am happy to stick with 24.04 LTS for now.
Comment 6 TraceyC 2025-07-29 19:47:16 UTC
Thanks for the update. I'm afraid Dolphin 23.08.5 no longer receives updates or maintenance from KDE; active versions are 25.04.3 or newer. Please upgrade to an active version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you, or use other application distribution methods such as Flathub. Dolphin is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one.

If you need support for Dolphin 23.08.5, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing help for older releases that are no longer receiving updates from KDE.

If this issue is still reproducible in a supported version of Dolphin, feel free to re-open this bug report.

Thanks for understanding!
