SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. sudo pacman -Syu 
2. enter root password
3. yay -Syu

OBSERVED RESULT
yay command is not asking password


EXPECTED RESULT
yay should ask password

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 
macOS: 
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.22
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0 
Qt Version: 6.8.0

not a konsole bug.
yay uses sudo, sudo cachea the passord for a few minutee.
configure your syatem so sudo doesnt cache the password.
