Description Bernhard Breinbauer 2024-11-03 08:19:27 UTC
When screen mirroring is used, the monitor will enter power save mode after some time.
As plasma is enabling do-not-disturb when screen mirroring is used (because it guesses a presentation is ongoing), the same should apply to power safe mode. It should be disabled while screen mirroring is active.
Discussion here: https://discuss.kde.org/t/disable-screen-lock-while-presenting/23934/4

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Attach external monitor an mirror the screen
2. Wait some time
3. Displays will enter power save mode

EXPECTED RESULT
Display should not turn off when screen mirroring is active.

Seems reasonable to me, using the same logic with which we currently disable notifications while mirrored.
