Description rsbrux 2024-10-30 06:18:27 UTC
SUMMARY
In Ubuntu Studio 24.04.2 LTS live, keyboard starts up U.S. and switches to U.S. for every focus change, despite selecting de-ch on startup and removing the U.S. keyboard from the configuration

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 from USB stick.
2. Select English language and Swiss German keyboard.
3. "Try Ubuntu".

OBSERVED RESULT
Keyboard layout is U.S. English on startup.
After changing keyboard to ch-de, keyboard reverts to U.S. English each time focus changes.
This behavior persists even after removing the U.S. keyboard from the layouts in "Keyboard - System Settings".

EXPECTED RESULT
Live environment should start with selected layout and keep it.

This is a distro/live session configuration issue; please report to the Ubuntu Studio folks. Thanks!
