SUMMARY

After a period of inactivity, the screen times out and powers off. At this moment,
if I shake the mouse to prevent the session from being locked, there is a chance that I won't be able to get my desktop session back. Instead, what I get is a black session with only the cursor.
There appears to be no way to go back to my desktop session when this happens.

A workaround I found is to switch to another tty(e.g. Ctrl+Alt+F6) and restart kwin by running `kwin_wayland --replace`.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Wait for the screen to timeout and power off
2. When the screen turns black, shake the mouse to wake it up
3. Hope that this bug reproduces.

Do you have extra empty entries in the "Device:" dropdown menu in System Settings > Display & monitor? If so, I think this is very likely Bug 493810.

Yes, there are two suspicious empty entries in that menu. Any idea on how to remove these entries?
