Description Donkey 2024-10-24 09:34:48 UTC
SUMMARY

Articles disappear from feed when read. So there are no read articles in the feed.

First sign of problem was after last system update were all read articles had disappeared.

Fetching feeds works, new articles appear, but after "reading" (clicking on and viewing) them and then going to the next, the previous (just read) (articles are marked as "read" after 0 seconds) disappears from the feed (as if deleted).

My archive setting is to delete articles older than 30 days.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Fetch feeds to get new articles, or have unread articles in feed.
2. Click on any article.
3. Click on any other article.

OBSERVED RESULT

Previous article (2 above) has disappeared (deleted) from the feed.

EXPECTED RESULT

Previous article (2 above) marked as read in the feed.

Update:

The bug is bigger than first observed.

In some instances a feed may show that there are unread articles, but display none.

See attachment, screenshot.

Might be another bug, but I suspect it is related.

The screenshot indicates you pressed the "New" button, not the "Unread" one

Wow. Now I feel dumb.
