Created attachment 175121 [details] Plasmashell land kwin logs When connecting my laptop to an external screen via HDMI, the "Icon-Only Task Manager" panel becomes unresponsive upon clicking any task. This issue occurs only when the bottom panel's width is set to "Fit Content." The unresponsiveness is not observed when the panel is configured to "Fill Width." I have to manually reset KWin using the command kwin_wayland --replace to restore functionality. Steps to Reproduce: -Set the bottom panel's width to "Fit Content." -Connect the laptop to an external screen via HDMI. -Try interacting with the "Icon-Only Task Manager" by clicking on tasks.- Observe unresponsiveness. Expected Behavior: The "Icon-Only Task Manager" should respond normally to clicks, regardless of the panel width setting. Observed Behavior: When the panel width is set to "Fit Content," the task manager becomes unresponsive after connecting to an external screen via HDMI. A manual reset with kwin_wayland --replace is required to restore functionality. ----- System Information: -OS: Fedora 40 (KDE Plasma) x86_64 -Plasma Version: 6.2.1 -Kernel: 6.11.3-200.fc40.x86_64 -GPU 1: AMD Radeon R5 M445 Series (Discrete) -GPU 2: Intel UHD Graphics 620 (Integrated) -Wayland Display Server -Panel Width Setting: "Fit Content" (issue present), "Fill Width" (issue not present)
Can you confirm that other parts of Plasma (e.g. the desktop) still work properly when this happens? If so, can you make the panel work properly by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Enter Edit Mode?"
