ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hopefully you have an automatic crash report sent from the application. Creating a new project appears to work normally. It happened after a Tumbleweed update as I was working on the project yesterday

I don't want to test my luck but after creating a new project I tried to reload a recent project and all seems well.

Not to sow any confusion, but the same bug happened to me (trying to load a project previously saved in 24.08.1 using 24.08.2).
Kdenlive would crash at "Building Sequences...".
The problem persisted after a reboot, however I didn't try Gerry Gavigan's workaround.

Interestingly, this all happened yesterday (21.10.2024), but today the problem magically disappeared; the project opened fine on the first attempt.

Actually, I tried loading an old project today and yes, all seems to be well

Please try with the actual version 24.08.3. This crash, when opening an existing project should be solved now.
