hello; upon starting the plasma desktop, my monitor goes full brightness. after screen turns off (by locking or timeouts) when I turn it on again, it gets dimmer and proper. the brightness percent in display widget is correct value, but monitor much more brighter than it should when plasma 6 starting from boot. I know its not my monitor. this problem started right after I updated plasma to version 6.2 (after 6.2.1 still present). did not have this problem on 6.1.x. i have Samsung LF27T35 monitor and using latest Mesa driver on Wayland. kernel 6.11.3-1. Tumbleweed.
also, i`m using a VGA cable, not hdmi.
Thanks for the bug report, and I'm sorry we weren't able to look into it yet. A lot has changed with brightness since this was reported; can you still reproduce the issue in Plasma 6.3.5 or later? Or even better, in the Plasma 6.4 beta or the 6.4 final release in a few weeks? Thanks again!
