red area is the sticky-zone

I have 2 screens, laptop-internal (2880x1800@125%) and 4K DP (3840x2160@100%)

There is this sticky-effect when crossing screen-borders for the mouse which is appreciated, but when the mouse-cursor is on the taskbar and the popup of a widget is opened, then it becomes 'more sticky' than above it (see marked area in screenshot)

This means, you have to either move the mouse upwards above the taskbar to cross-borders, or move the mouse waaay longer to (here) the right until the cursor is 'freed' from the border.

Low prio, but would be nice if the stickiness would remain the same independent of the cursor-position

But only when the pointer is actually in the corner pixel, right? If you move it away from the corner pixel, it should be less sticky. Is this what you're experiencing?

If so, this is intentional, so people can hit screen corners easily. If it bothers you, you can turn it off by unchecking the "Corner barrier" checkbox in System Settings > Mouse & Touchpad > Screen Edges.

thanks for the hint to the setting.
Makes a lot of sense to me to have extra stickieness in the screen-corner - even better that this is switchable :-)
Yep, solved!

(btw, not sure if this is even manageable: Your attempt with 'weekly KDE news' and other posts about kde is fantastic, but - like here - still missing important new features.
Could we (auto-)assemble a list of changes between kde-releases?
Yes, there is https://kde.org/announcements/changelogs/, but this covers everything, not only usability aspects.
Such hidden gems aren't (or, are they?) in the spotlight?)
