Falkon 24.08.2 (self-compiled installation) in Tuxedo OS 3: In Falkon select via the View menu > Sidebar > Bookmarks, History or Side Settings View: At the left edge in Falkon's web page display window, respectively the bookmarks, history or side settings are displayed in an extra area, the Sidebar. If you want to switch off the Sidebar, you cannot turn it of via the View menu > Sidebar > because there is no option like "Switch Sidebar off" or something like that. If you want to switch the Sidebar off, you can only do that by clicking that small red "Close" icon in the upper right corner within the Sidebar. Well, that's not a bug, it is only a kind of cosmetic error, but it would be consequent if you also could switch off the Sidebar via the View menu > Sidebar > "Switch Sidebar off" or something like that, an option that would only be displayed there if the Sidebar in fact has been opened before and still gets displayed, but not if the Sidebar is not currently displayed. Hello Jens, When you select an "active" option in the [View > Sidebar] menu again the sidebar will be turned OFF. For me this is enough, but it is known that I am not great when it comes to GUI stuff.
(In reply to Juraj from comment #1) Hi Juraj, Thanks for your information, I did not know that, but it works, this way of turning off the Sidebar again ;-) I guess a typical user would do that this way first if he/she knows about this way of turning off the Sidebar again. Well, I think it is up to the main Falkon developer if he wants to implement this, let me call it a feature request which my issue report represents here.
