SUMMARY After upgrade ftom 6.2 to 6.2.1, Plasma started to crash at ISO unmount. The problem is 100% reproducible and the whole desktop crashes. The problem doesn't exist on Plasma 6.2 and previous versions. For some reason the Automatic reporter doesn't working as well so I'm sorry for I can't provide a trace. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Mount an ISO. 2. Unmount an ISO. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Plasma crashes. EXPECTED RESULT Unmounting an ISO shouldn't crash the whole desktop. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0 Qt Version: 6.8.0 Kernel Version: 6.11.3-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 32 × Intel® Core™ i9-14900KF Memory: 62.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090/PCIe/SSE2 Manufacturer: ASUS
Created attachment 174964 [details] dolphin crash I tried to reproduce. Its not my whole desktop that crashes but just dolphin when I click the unmount button from the UI from the left side. The crash does not occur if I use the context menu from within dolphin. I'm attaching a stack trace.
For me it's definitely the whole desktop and all it's elements - the screen goes black, the panel disappears and Dolphin crashes and closes. I can't unmount safely via the context menu - it has the pretty same efect. Thanks for the log, appreciated :)
