I also have the bug since the multi screen brightness control has been implemented in 6.2.0. After unplugging the HDMI port, the internal display is shown 3 times in the applet. (I precise that I unplugged the HDMI cable during suspend, and I opened my laptop lid afterwards.) In Fedora KDE 6.2.0.
The ghost screen was a kernel bug IIRC. It's been a month; have you still been seeing this recently with newer kernel version?

I don't see any "ghost monitors" anymore, either.
