A lot of information is missing here. But I assume the defect is fixed in the KF6 port.

Krusader was able to create the thumbnails but after a recent update lost the ability again

* This bug is about the thumbnails shown for files when the View->"Show Previews" feature is enabled?
* Which version of Krusader and Plasma are you using?
* Do you have kio-extras for KF6 installed?

OBSERVED RESULT
On open Sidebar, Preview panel, when selecting a .png/.mp4 file couldn't create a thumbnail.

EXPECTED RESULT
On open Sidebar, Preview panel, expected to see an image, like with .jpeg files.
