I'm not sure if the problem is with plasmashell, but with the upgrade to Plasma 6.2.1 there is a delay of about 10 seconds for logging in. 

It goes like this 
- Login with SDDM 
- Splashscreen (10 seconds) 
- Plasmashell appears 

Randomly it happens that Plasmashell has a black background, in which case I am forced to restart Plasmashell. This also happened with Plasma 6.1.x but not with 6.2
