If you organize your files to your liking, then connect another monitor/TV with larger screen and higher resolution, the files/folders don't respect the organization of the grid and shoves everything to its default corner.

It's actually a dup of Bug 496989
The one marked by Nate was not related to plugging/unplugging external monitors.
