SUMMARY When taskbar is set to autohide, central virtual desktop is skipped when using your mouse to navigate to it STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. Set the taskbar in autohide mode 1. Create 8 virtual desktop on 3 lines 2. Go to the central virtual desktop(5) then go left(4) 3. You are now on the middle left virtual desktop(4) 4. Now If you move your mouse to the right to come back to the central desktop you land directly on the right virtual desktop(6) OBSERVED RESULT Central virtual desktop is skipped EXPECTED RESULT Central virtual desktop not to be skipped (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: kubuntu 24.10 KDE Plasma Version: 6.15 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.6 Qt Version: 6.6.2
Can you by any chance attach a screen recording that shows this issue happening? My attempts to reproduce it with git master have failed, but the bug report is lacking some detail, so a screen rcording that shows the problem happening would he helpful. Thanks!
Created attachment 176129 [details] v desktop jumps Hi, Here it is I got 8 desktops, the video I recorded shows the top left, top center and top right desktops From 0 to 10 sec : normal behavior using keyboards shortcuts to move from discover on top center to system settings on top right. From 10 sec : I do the same using the mouse to go from top center to top right and I end up on top left which is empty From 30 to 35 : using shorcuts again, no jumps

Thanks. Unfortunately the screen recording doesn't really help me understand what's going on. :/ Moving to KWin; maybe folks there can figure it out.
Switched from Kubuntu to Fedora and the issue does not occur anymore, I may guess that plasma on Kubuntu is still a bit too recent.
