Description Avahan 2024-10-11 06:46:50 UTC
I have upgraded my system from an encrypted KD-Neon to the newest version. attached via usb two mass storages. Now both storages can not be used: error mounting /dev/sdb2/ at media/avahan seagate expansiondrive: wrong fs type, bad fs option, bad superblock, on /dev/sdb2, missing codepage or helper program, or other error. How to fix. both mass storages can not be read out now by other linux kde systems as well via usb.

thx
avahan

Maybe you know someone in person nearby Berlin or in germany to visit
and to handle this problem directly?

Comment 4 Avahan 2024-10-13 15:08:48 UTC
so the answer now is: yes, two usb-connected disks died - and this under
linux KDE-Upgrading! How can I use K'DE as a safe operating system for
backup and server systems!!!! I don't know who can help me to rescue
those discs.

Comment 5 Avahan 2024-10-16 13:09:51 UTC
The error is fixed: under windows the filesystem is repaired. Now during
the bootup process the kde-neon is telling the error message, that for
both external HDD a encryption is missed, but is booting the hdd's.

very strange'!!!

all the best - avahan
